Eastern Connecticut State University Student Awarded Competitive Scholarship

The ECSU Foundation's competitive scholarship awards are based on merit and, in many cases, unmet financial need. The scholarship process is coordinated by the Office of Institutional Advancement. Local Students Members of Eastern Connecticut State University's Habitat for Humanity Club

One of the approximately 70 student clubs and organizations at Eastern Connecticut State University is Eastern's student chapter of Habitat for Humanity. The purpose of the chapter is to increase awareness of substandard housing on campus and in the community. Members benefit from gaining community service hours, learning construction skills, traveling, enhancing their resumes, meeting friends, becoming involved in the University's community and helping families suffering from poverty.

Georgia Southern University Announces Fall 2011 Dean's List

Georgia Southern University recently recognized 2,434 students for excellence in academics on the 2011 Fall Semester Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester. Eastern Connecticut State University's Habitat for Humanity campus chapter held its annual "Shack-a-Thon" fundraiser over a 24-hour period from Oct. 26-27 in front of Webb Hall. The fundraiser was held to increase awareness of substandard housing in the Willimantic community.
